New Zealand is the closest developed market to Australia in terms of distance and culture. However the total size of the equity market stands at a fraction of the Australia equity indices like the asx 100 companies.

The NZX main board includes a mix of dualisted Australian as well as NZ headquartered companies.

NZX 50 Index

The NZX 50 index is New Zealand’s main stock market index which includes only 50 larges of 50 largest NZX companies based in the country. The index is published by S&P and is a float adjusted market capitlization index.

How do I buy NZX 50 Index Fund?

There are no ETF products listed on the ASX that tracks the index. However AMP has an unlisted index fund option, (AIF PE) if which can be used if your investment platform includes AMP products.
